Tom Minier
Tom Miner was born in Bloomsburg, PA. Throughout his youth and early adulthood, he participated in a variety of acting projects. Tom’s ongoing passion for storytelling led him to screenwriting, filmmaking, and ultimately, back to acting.
The adage, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear,” proved itself after moving to Austin, TX, in 2010, when fate brought Tom to a new acting program being launched by Terry Kiser. Their relationship evolved from teacher, to mentor, to friend, to business partner. Kiser, a student of Lee Strasberg’s at the Actors Studio in New York, passed down invaluable knowledge, stories and technique, and combined it with over fifty years of Film, TV and Theater experience. Tom and Terry have collaborated on The Body Sculptor, Manifest Destiny, In-Between, and Sometime Before Midnight.
As the tide of the film industry receded in Texas, Tom concluded his studies in Austin under the guidance of Maurice “Moe” Moore. Moe’s seamless approach to the craft, combining Stanislavski, Meisner and Practical Aesthetic techniques, along with with over thirty years of industry insight as an actor, director, producer and writer, enabled Tom’s unique voice to emerge. Ultimately, Moe illuminated the path to combine control with instinct, and find harmony.
Recently moving to Atlanta, GA, Tom is currently represented by TDH Talent Unlimited. While acting leads Tom into the future, screenwriting and production projects are also on the horizon.
